Efflorescence is a natural phenomenon, should disappear within a year sometimes in weeks or months , and is best left to resolve itself. Penetrative sealer penetrates several millimeters into the surface, sealing the pores within the concrete or paving stones. Most cleaners will effectively reduce the whitish haze on the paver caused by efflorescence, but only if used properly.
Simply allow the process to take its course and, before long, the stone will return to its original beauty. However, with repeated cleanings, your pavers can be kept stain-free until the salt deposits have been exhausted, at which point the pavers will remain free of efflorescence for the life of your pavers.
